受賞理由　FISM2000での演技を皮切りに、世界最年少イリュージョニストとしてギネスブックで認定され世界を舞台に活躍された。特に2005年は2004年7月21日のＤＶＤ、山上兄弟のホップ！ステップ！マジック！！〜てじなーにゃの巻〜に続き、6月29日に「まじかる　まじかる　てじな〜にゃ」というＣＤをリリースされ、12月5日にはフルタ製菓より「山上兄弟のてじな〜にゃ」が販売される運びとなった。2005年末のＮＨＫ紅白歌合戦をはじめとして、マスコミに数多く露出され、マジック界のみならず、日本の社会全体にマジックの素晴らしさを広くアピールされた点などは、特筆に値する大変素晴らしい活動といえる。小さな子供さんからお年寄りにまでマジックを通して夢と希望を与えられたことはマジックの文化的価値を高める活躍であった。

After getting a great reputation at FISM 2003 in the Netherlands, The Yamagami Brothers started performing internationally as the world’s youngest illusionists as confirmed by the Guinness Book of World Records. They’ve been extremely busy since then. Especially since the release of their CD named, “Yamagami Brothers Magical, Magical, TEJINA-NYA” on June 29, 2005 and the release of their DVD called “Yamagami Brothers’ Hop! Step! Magic!! 〜TEJINA-NYA〜” a year earlier on July 21, 2004.

 

 

受賞理由　大阪の老舗マジックバー、バーノンズ・バーで長きにわたりパフォーマンスを続けてこられると同時に国内各地での公演にも積極的に取り組まれ、ライブで多くの一般の方々に至近距離で見るクロースアップマジックの楽しさ・素晴らしさを伝えてこられた。今日のマジックブームの基礎を築いたマジシャンの１人といえる。特に今年はマスコミに多く露出することで、全国区の幅広い人気を集め、後進の若きクロースアップマジシャンにも励みとなる活躍をされた。また、株式会社ジュエルサウンドより、「ムッシュ・ピエールのマジック教えちゃうざます」というクロースアップマジックのレクチャーのＤＶＤを発売されたり、地域のカルチャーセンター(NHK主催など)での講習会に協力されるなど、マジックに取り組もうという方々の掘り起こしにも貢献された。

A comedy style bar magician who performs at Vernon’s Bar, which is one of the best magic bars in Osaka.  Besides performing every night at the bar, he has also come to be known as one of the star magicians in Japan because of his unique performance style.

In 2005, since he was so successful in the show business field, he appeared on TV many times. His DVD is also very popular for many young magicians. Through his activities, many close up magicians in Japan realized that there is much more potential in the art of close up magic.

 

 

受賞理由　2005年7月より、マンスリーマジックレッスン、という月刊のDVDを製作された。講師にゆうきとも氏を起用され、クロースアップマジックに関するきわめて質が高く一貫性のあるレクチャーを高画質で適切な編集を施したＤＶＤ映像とともに明快な解説を加えてテキスト冊子にもまとめられ、定期的に発行されている。幅広い層のクロースアップマジシャンに高く評価されている。また、販売方法も会員制で、会員の希望に応じバックナンバーを一括で購入することも、創刊号から毎月1冊ずつ購入することも可能、というシステムを構築された。良心的な経営姿勢と同時に、マジックを学ぶ側に立ち、教育的配慮も怠らず、真摯な姿勢で事業に取り組んでおられることは、日本のクロースアップマジックの水準を引き上げるのに欠かせないものである。

Since July 2005, he has published the “Monthly Magic Lesson” which is a reasonably priced DVD magazine that is delivered its readers each month by mail. This magazine is a series of close up magic lectures by Yuki Tomo, who is one of the best close up magicians in Japan. The quality of the magazine is excellent and the contents are very well thought out. Since some of the magic explained in the magazine is rather simple, even lay people could learn the effects. On the other hand, for expert magicians, there are many good “lessons” in every lecture even ones with simple effects. He has contributed greatly to raising the standard of Japanese close up magic.

 

 

受賞理由　日本在住のアメリカ・フロリダ出身のマジシャンとして、JCMAの様々な文化活動に貢献された。特にチャレンジャーズ・ライブでの審査員としての活動では、多くの若手マジシャンにエンターテナーとしての立場から経験に裏打ちされたきわめて有意義な助言・指導を与えた。氏の愛情とユーモアあふれるコメントには多くの若者が勇気づけられた。また、海外との交流事業を遂行するために、JCMAの各種書類やホームページの英語訳を普段の仕事の合間を縫ってボランティアで積極的に行なわれたことは特筆に値する。公演で疲れて帰宅された後、夜遅くまでデスクワークを続けて頂いたことも少なくなかった。また、プロのパフォーマーとしてマジックサークルやジャパンカップで公演を行うことにも積極的であり、度々その機会を提供して下さった。

A professional magician from the USA and now living in the Tokyo area. In 2005, he was one of the judges of “Challengers Live” at Magic Circle Japan. His feedback comments to each of the contestants were filled with professionalism, humor and love. He worked as writer for the JCMA web site and many other printed materials. He was also so friendly to perform very professional acts for the young magicians at JCMA events.

 

 

受賞理由　東京アマチュアマジシャンズクラブ(TAMC)に長きにわたり所属され、アマチュアマジシャンとして多彩な活動をされた。御自身での公演活動・研究活動にとどまらず、前TAMC会長として多くのマジック関連イベントに精力的に参加され、マジシャン及びマジック関係者を励まされた。一方、千葉大学名誉教授として退官後も心理学の研究を続けられ、著述活動・講演活動を精力的にこなしてこられた。その中で折々マジックの魅力についても言及されることで、マジックの文化的価値を高め、その存在を広くアピールされる結果となった。殊に「頭の体操」（光文社刊、全２３巻）はクイズを主体とした書籍ではあるものの、「トリック」や「心理の盲点」といったマジックにつながる重要で興味深い事項に関して貴重な示唆に富んでいることから、多くのマジシャンにも影響を与えた。

Past president of TAMC (Tokyo Amateur Magicians Club) and an honorary professor of Chiba University. Not only as a magician but also as a psychologist, he explained to the public how fun and intellectual it is to choose magic as a hobby.  His series of quiz books with 23 volumes are very famous. In these books he teaches a lot of tricks and the psychology behind their workings which is good for magicians as well. He has influenced many magicians in Japan.
